Your deleted and inbox folders (any subfolders under them) are being synchronized with your e-mail server every time you do a “Send & Receive” so the more that is in these folders, the slower Outlook may perform.

It’s easy to set up a Desktop shortcut to open a new e-mail message quickly. You can then use the shortcut on your “Quick Launch Toolbar” and create a Keyboard Shortcut.
