If all of a sudden your Outlook Calendar opens in a view that you don’t like, and you constantly are switching to “Week” view or “Month” view, immediately after opening your calendar. You can change the view and the default view.
In Windows 8.1 you can use the “Snipping Tool” to capture a screen shot, or snip, of anything on your screen. You can annotate, save, or share the image after capturing.

You can quickly insert a horizontal line (from margin to margin), by tapping the dash three times and then hitting ENTER. The type of character you type 3 times, will determine the type of line. Dashes is the most common, but you can also use equal signs, pound signs, and more. This process shown in Word 2010, but works in all versions of Microsoft Word.
It's easy to shrink or enlarge an image in a presentation without using the mouse. Use the SHIFT key with the up and down arrows to change the size of the image proportionately. This process shown using PowerPoint 2010, but works in all versions of Microsoft PowerPoint.
