Right-click on any of the Navigation buttons and choose “Open in a New Window”, and you can keep your Calendar or Contacts open in windows of their own. In iOS 8 access to the “Control Center” from the lock screen, is enabled by default. This would allow anyone to disable features (i.e. Airplane Mode), without entering a passcode to unlock the device.
