If you have a lot of applications and save a lot of pictures to your iPhone/iPad, you may have a need to keep an eye on the memory usage. When a major iOS update is available you may need to clear out some photos or apps to make space for the update. If you use Cellular data as well as the Wi-Fi on your iPhone/iPad you may want to monitor the Cellular Usage so that you do not exceed your data plan for your cellular carrier (avoid unnecessary charges). This tutorial will show you how to monitor the Usage. This process is shown on iPhone with iOS 8, but works the same on iPad.

When you double tap the Home button, it brings up recently used apps and recent Contacts (at the top of the screen). You can change a setting that will remove “Recent Contacts” from this “App Switcher” screen. This process shown on iPhone 6 with iOS 8.

You can now use different views in Safari (or other browsers) on your iPhone running iOS 8. You may want to view the full “Desktop Site” instead of the mobile version that shows up on your iPhone or iPad in Safari automatically. You can also request “Reader View” to remove all the distracting content (advertising and extra images and content), to make it easier to read only the text on a web page. If you have multiple e-mail accounts set up on your iPhone (iPad), you can set a “Default” account. This means that when you create a new message, it will send from the default account. When you Reply to or Forward a message, it will come from the account that the original message was sent to. This process shown on iPhone using iOS 8.
