In iOS 8 access to the “Control Center” from the lock screen, is enabled by default. This would allow anyone to disable features (i.e. Airplane Mode), without entering a passcode to unlock the device.

You can now rearrange or remove “Share Options”. For example, when you want to share a link to a webpage in Safari, you tap the “Share” icon, and tap how you want to share the link. If you use a certain option more often than others, you can rearrange the icons. We are only showing share options for Safari, but they also exist in other apps such as Photos.

If you receive an e-mail from someone not in your Contacts, you can quickly add them with the tap of a button that automatically appears at the top of the message. This information is derived from their e-mail signature. If you already have a Contact, but when a new phone number or e-mail is detected, you can add this new information to an existing contact.

Text messages can take up a lot of memory space on your iPhone/iPad. You can now set your iDevice to automatically delete text messages on a schedule. This tells your iDevice how long to “Keep Messages”.

You can now see which apps are draining your battery the most. This includes apps that drain your battery in the background. This can help you be mindful of apps you use when battery is low, and allow you to turn off “Background App Refresh” for apps that drain your battery.
