The default setting in Outlook is to return to the inbox after you handle an e-mail (i.e. move it to a folder or delete). You can change the settings to make it easier to get through all the items in your inbox and make you more efficient.
You can change the time increments shown in your Outlook calendar to allow for smaller more detailed calendar entries. This will work in Outlook 2003, Outlook 2007, and Outlook 2010.
