How to Create Keyboard Shortcut to Open File Explorer (Windows 8)

You can use a keyboard shortcut to quickly navigate to many locations, programs/apps, and other items on your computer. There are a lot of keyboard shortcuts already programmed into your computer. There is not one available that will open “File Explorer” (used to be “Windows Explorer”). This is where you go to look for folder and files or access different drives that are attached to your computer (or virtual drives). In this example we will create a keyboard shortcut to open “File Explorer”.
