You can use the Auto Fill handle to copy or fill data up/down in a column or across a row. It will also fill in days of the week or months of the year. The Auto Fill handle is the small square box in the bottom right corner when a cell is selected. This will work the same in Excel 2010, Excel 2007 and Excel 2003.

You can attach a Comment to a cell in an Excel Worksheet to display important notes. The Comments are only visible when you hover your cursor over a cell with a Comment attached, or when you choose to display all Comments. This will work in Excel 2003, Excel 2007 & Excel 2010.
If the first few characters you type in a cell match an existing entry in that column, Excel automatically enters the remaining characters for you. Excel will only complete entries that contain text or text and numbers. This function will not work for entries that only contain numbers. You can turn Auto Complete OFF if makes entering data difficult. This will work in Excel 2010, Excel 2007 and Excel 2003.
